Living Voices Series
Who is Iran?
This is not a question I can answer. But it’s one this page will begin to, through the voices of those who carry her.
I’ve created this page as a place for Iranians—both those in Iran and those who are part of its diaspora—to share who they are, in their own words, their own art, their own ways.
This is not a reflection of a place filtered through my voice, but a gathering of Iranian voices, shared however they wish to be heard. Through stories, through images, through feeling.
As the collection grows, my hope is that those who visit this page will catch a more honest glimpse of Iran—not one shaped by headlines or distance, but by those who are her and who carry her today.
Everyone is welcome here. Some to share. Some to listen.
Share Your Voice
If you feel moved to add your voice to this collection—through a story, memory, poem, or image—you’re warmly invited to do so through the link below. Submissions are welcome from Iranians anywhere in the world, as well as from travelers who have been to Iran and carry Iran with them in some way. You may remain anonymous. And if you’d like me to reach out before sharing what you’ve sent, you can let me know in the form.
